Jun Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook fight for survival in deadly virus outbreak in 'Colony' teaser

The upcoming survival thriller 'Colony' released its new poster and teaser on April 15, offering an intense first look at a mysterious viral outbreak that traps its characters inside a sealed building.

Directed by Yeon Sang Ho, known for 'Train to Busan' and 'Peninsula,' the film depicts a catastrophic situation after an entire building is placed under lockdown due to an unidentified virus. As the infection spreads, those affected begin to mutate into unpredictable and violent forms, escalating the danger for those still uninfected.

'Colony' has already been officially invited to the Midnight Screenings section of the '79th Cannes International Film Festival,' drawing attention and anticipation ahead of its premiere.

The newly released poster features blood-covered infected individuals gathered in what appears to be a parking structure, highlighting the grim atmosphere and the scale of the outbreak.

The international teaser opens with Seo Young Cheol (Koo Kyo Hwan), who initially describes the situation as an experiment before correcting himself, calling it an act of terrorism. The footage quickly shifts into chaos as infected individuals begin attacking people inside the building.

The teaser further depicts the desperate struggle for survival among the uninfected. Choi Hyun Seok (Ji Chang Wook), Kwon Se Jung (Jun Ji Hyun), and other survivors are shown attempting to navigate and escape the collapsing environment while fending off relentless attacks.

In one scene, Kwon Se Jung confronts Seo Young Cheol in anger, demanding, “What the hell did you do?” Meanwhile, Choi Hyun Seok is seen fighting off infected individuals in an effort to protect others and secure an escape route. The teaser concludes with a chilling image of a blindfolded Seo Young Cheol calmly whistling with a faint smile, suggesting a disturbing sense of satisfaction with the catastrophic outcome of his actions.

'Colony' continues to build anticipation as a high-stakes survival thriller exploring human behavior under extreme biological threat.
