BTS and Coldplay’s “My Universe” hits 1.6 billion streams on Spotify

BTS bagged another streaming milestone on Spotify with their 2021 single with Coldplay.

On May 5 KST, the global boy band’s hit song “My Universe,” a collaborative single with renowned band Coldplay, exceeded a whopping 1.6 billion streams on the platform. Released on September 24, 2021, as one of the singles from Coldplay’s album, “My Universe” reached the milestone four years and seven months later.

The song marks BTS’ second song to surpass the 1.6 billion stream mark, after “Dynamite” that currently has 2.2 billion plays. Other BTS group songs that are next to hit the milestone include “Butter,” “Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey),” “Fake Love,” and “Life Goes On,” all of which have more than 1 billion streams as of writing.

Meanwhile, the seven-member band is currently on their long-awaited ‘ARIRANG’ world tour.
