Lee Min Jung and Kim Ji Seok to star as couple on the brink of divorce in new KBS drama 'Yes, Let's Get Divorced'

Lee Min Jung and actor Kim Ji Seok will portray a married couple facing the possibility of divorce.

KBS drama 'Yes, Let's Get Divorced' (written by Hwang Ji Eon, directed by Joo Sung Woo) unveiled its casting lineup on July 28. The series will star Lee Min Jung, Kim Ji Seok, Lee Hyun Jin, Lee Jin Yi, and more.

Based on the novel of the same name, 'Yes, Let's Get Divorced' follows the story of a couple who run a wedding dress shop and decide to put an end to their exhausting marriage.

Lee Min Jung will play Baek Mi Young, the CEO of a wedding dress shop. After losing her parents in an unexpected accident, she married the man who brought happiness into her life, but eventually decides to pursue a divorce.

Kim Ji Seok will take on the role of designer Ji Won Ho, Mi Young’s husband. He fell in love with her at first sight and married her, but their reality after marriage turned out to be far different from what he imagined. He eventually receives a divorce request from his wife.

Lee Hyun Jin will portray Calvin, Mi Young’s ex-boyfriend who shakes up the couple’s relationship. Lee Jin Yi will play photographer Ahn Hee Joo, who gradually finds herself developing feelings for Won Ho.

The cast also includes Oh Yeon Ah, Jung Ui Jae, and Wang Bit Na. They will appear as Mi Young’s lawyer, Won Ho’s junior colleague, and Mi Young’s college friend, respectively, adding more intrigue to the story.

The production team stated, “The realistic married couple chemistry that Lee Min Jung and Kim Ji Seok will showcase is the biggest point to look forward to,” adding, “Please stay tuned to see what choices the two characters will make.”

Meanwhile, 'Yes, Let's Get Divorced' will premiere on August 19 at 11 PM KST.
