I.O.I’s Choi Yoo Jung announces solo comeback with ‘Perfect Target’

I.O.I member and singer Choi Yoo Jung is set to make her long-awaited return as a solo artist.

According to Fantagio on June 16 KST, Choi Yoo Jung will release her second solo single album, 'Perfect Target,' on June 30 at 6 PM KST.

The release marks her first solo comeback in nearly four years since her debut solo single 'Sunflower,' which was released in September 2022.

Ahead of the comeback, Choi Yoo Jung unveiled a title poster through Fantagio’s official social media channels. Featuring a pink-toned bedroom filled with charming decorative items, the teaser offered a glimpse of the album’s concept and heightened anticipation among fans.

Since debuting through 'Produce 101' and promoting with I.O.I, Choi Yoo Jung has built a diverse career as a singer, performer, and musical actress. She is expected to showcase her artistic growth and expanded musical identity through 'Perfect Target.'

Choi Yoo Jung first debuted as a member of I.O.I in 2016 before re-debuting with Weki Meki in 2017. Following the group’s disbandment in 2024, she has continued to pursue various activities as an artist.

The comeback comes shortly after I.O.I reunited to celebrate the group’s 10th anniversary. Their recent single 'Suddenly' attracted significant attention and topped music charts, reaffirming the group’s enduring popularity.

Choi Yoo Jung’s 'Perfect Target' will be released on June 30 across major streaming platforms.
