UNIS wins two awards at the '2024 KGMA,' crowned 'Best rookie of the year'

UNIS (Hyeon-ju Jin, Gehlee Dangca, Kotoko, Yun-ha Bang, Seo Won Lim, Nana, Elisia, and Yoona Oh) graced the stage at the 2024 Korea Grand Music Awards (2024 KGMA) Song Day, held on November 17 at Inspire Arena in Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon.

During the event, UNIS won the IS Rookie Award, solidifying their position as one of the most outstanding new girl groups in the K-pop industry. They also took home the Trend of the Year award, marking a memorable night with two trophies.

Expressing their gratitude for the double win, UNIS shared heartfelt remarks: “Just being part of KGMA is an honor and a joy, but receiving these awards makes this day even more special. We truly believe these awards belong to our Ever After (UNIS's official fan club), and we promise to continue working hard and growing as a group.”

UNIS’s stage performance, befitting their title as the year's brightest rookie, was equally unforgettable. They kicked off their set with "You’re the Only One Who Doesn’t Know," a track known for its powerful and addictive energy. The group presented a special stage exclusive to KGMA, featuring a dynamic dance break not seen in previous performances. Their synchronized choreography and live vocals captivated the audience, leaving the arena buzzing with excitement.

Since thier debut, UNIS has been making waves across South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines. This momentum has translated into repeated victories at major award ceremonies, where they continue to claim double awards.

At the 2024 K WORLD DREAM AWARDS, UNIS won the Popular Female Group Award and the K-World Dream Music Icon Award. They also took home the Hottest and Today’s Choice awards at the 2024 The Fact Music Awards (TMA).

Building on this success, UNIS’s two wins at the KGMA further cement their title as ‘2024’s Best Rookie.’
