Kim Byung Man is once again facing criticism after arriving late to the first official press event for the new program 'Survival King 2'.

On May 20 KST, a press conference for 'Survival King 2' was held at a TV Chosun studio in Gasan-dong, Seoul. The show is the global version of the jungle survival program 'Survival King,' which TV Chosun first introduced in 2024.

The event was attended by CP Lee Seung Hoon, producer Yoon Jong Ho, Kim Byung Man, Kim Jong Kook, influencer Yuk Jun Seo, and Younghoon of THE BOYZ.

Although the press conference was scheduled to begin promptly at 10 AM., several cast members had not yet arrived by the scheduled start time. In the entertainment industry, participants typically arrive well ahead of time to prepare for media events.

Staff members informed reporters that heavy rain had delayed the cast’s arrival at the studio, forcing the event schedule to be pushed back. Kim Byung Man reportedly arrived after 10 AM and hurriedly joined the photo session.

However, observers noted that he took his seat without offering an apology for the delay.

Organizers initially announced that the event would begin no later than 10:10 AM, but the press conference was reportedly delayed by an additional 10 minutes.

This is not the first time Kim Byung Man has been criticized for tardiness at an official event. In March, he also arrived approximately 15 minutes late to the launch ceremony for 'Praying in the Himalayas'. That event ultimately experienced major disruptions amid reported production conflicts and cast replacement issues.
