RIIZE member Eunseok issued an apology following controversy over a racially insensitive expression.

On May 6, Eunseok posted a lengthy message on the fan communication platform Bubble, acknowledging his mistake. He admitted, “While sharing a childhood photo of myself, I used an inappropriate expression.”

He continued, “I sincerely apologize to anyone who may have felt uncomfortable due to my poor choice of words. Although I recognized the mistake and deleted the post immediately, I still feel deeply sorry.”

Eunseok also promised to be more mindful in the future. “I will think more carefully before I speak and act. I sincerely apologize once again,” he added.

The controversy began on May 5, when Eunseok shared a childhood photo in celebration of Children’s Day. In the post, he used a term that has been criticized for being derogatory toward a specific racial group.

Although the message was deleted shortly after being posted, it sparked ongoing criticism, particularly among international fans, who pointed out the racial implications of the expression.

Meanwhile, RIIZE is set to make a comeback with a new mini-album on June 15.
