Global superstars BTS are confirmed to make a special live appearance at the '2026 American Music Awards,' marking a major highlight in their full-group return following military service.

According to a report on May 20, the group will attend the '2026 American Music Awards,' which will be held on May 25 at 5 p.m. local time at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, United States.

BTS has been nominated in three major categories this year, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer, and Best Male K Pop Artist, reflecting their continued dominance across both global pop and K pop markets.

The 'American Music Awards,' alongside the 'Grammy Awards' and 'Billboard Music Awards,' is regarded as one of the three major music award shows in the United States. BTS has attended the ceremony five times, in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2026. In 2021, they made history as the first Asian act to win Artist of the Year.

With their full-group comeback underway, attention is now on whether BTS can once again secure a major award at the ceremony.

Earlier this year, BTS released their fifth studio album 'ARIRANG' in March, which achieved remarkable success by topping the Billboard 200 chart for three consecutive weeks. This feat had not been achieved since Mumford and Sons in 2012, and BTS remains the only Korean act to hold the number one position for three consecutive weeks.

The group is currently continuing their North American tour and is also scheduled to perform at the halftime show of the '2026 FIFA World Cup final' in July, further expanding their global presence on some of the world’s biggest stages.
