Taeyong to Drop First Full Album 'WILD,' Showcasing Raw Hip-Hop Energy

by · allkpop

NCT's Taeyong is set to return with a powerful hip-hop track.

Taeyong will release his first full-length album 'WILD' on May 18 at 6 PM KST across major music platforms. The album will feature a total of 10 tracks, including the title song of the same name.

The title track is a hip-hop song, with Taeyong participating in both the lyrics and composition. It stands out for its sound inspired by the instinctive movements of wild animals.

Layered with intense bass, heavy rhythmic instrumentation, and experimental elements, the track creates a multidimensional sonic landscape reminiscent of the wild.

The lyrics reflect his identity as an artist, expressing long-suppressed emotions through the language of the wild. It conveys his determination to keep moving forward toward his goals without stopping.

That ambition was also hinted at in the first teaser image released on May 4 via official social media accounts. In the image, Taeyong is seen breaking his own statue and standing atop it.

'WILD' will also be released in physical format on May 18. Pre-orders are currently available at online and offline music retailers.
