A video of Jannabi's Choi Jung Hoon becoming emotional during a university festival performance has gone viral, sparking online speculation about a possible breakup with actress Han Ji Min.

The clip, shared on an online community under the title “Choi Jung Hoon crying at Konkuk University festival”, shows the singer on stage with visibly reddened eyes and nose, appearing overwhelmed while holding a microphone.

During the performance, audience members responded with loud encouragement, shouting “Don’t cry!” and “We love you!” In response, Choi Jung Hoon briefly gestured for silence with a shy “shh,” before addressing the crowd.

“I’ve never experienced losing my voice like this before, so I was quite surprised,” he said. “But hearing everyone sing along really helped me… I think next time I won’t be as flustered.” He then gave a thumbs-up, appearing to regain his composure.

The emotional moment led many viewers to interpret his reaction as being driven by the overwhelming support from fans rather than personal issues. Choi Jung Hoon is also known for occasionally becoming emotional during live performances, a trait often noted by fans.

However, the clip quickly fueled speculation online, with some netizens linking his tears to his relationship with Han Ji Min. Comments included questions such as “Did they break up?” and “Did he fight with Han Ji Min?”, while others argued that his reaction was simply due to being moved by the audience.

Choi Jung Hoon and Han Ji Min reportedly began dating in 2024, drawing public attention due to their 10-year age gap. The couple first met through the KBS2 program The Seasons - Choi Jung Hoon's Night Park, where Han Ji Min appeared as a guest. A fan of Jannabi, she joined the show’s final episode, where they performed a duet and gained attention for their warm chemistry.

Meanwhile, following their relationship becoming public, Han Ji Min was previously targeted in a separate harassment case involving a woman in her 30s. The suspect allegedly posted malicious content online, made threatening remarks, and targeted people close to the actress.

The suspect was later investigated by police and referred to prosecutors after further questioning, with the case eventually proceeding to court. As of now, neither Choi Jung Hoon nor Han Ji Min has publicly addressed the viral festival video or the ongoing speculation.
