NCT's Jaehyun announces first comeback since military discharge

NCT's Jaehyun is making his first comeback since completing his military service.

On July 3, SM Entertainment announced that Jaehyun will release his new digital single, "99 Degrees," on major music streaming platforms on July 10.

The release marks Jaehyun's first solo song in approximately one year and eight months. After releasing his single "Unconditional" in October 2024, he temporarily paused his music activities to fulfill his mandatory military service.

"99 Degrees" is a ballad that begins with delicate piano melodies before building into rich instrumental arrangements. Jaehyun personally wrote and composed the song.

The lyrics explore the true essence of love, conveying the message of discovering complete love within the imperfect state of 99 degrees—one degree short of perfection.

"Through solo songs with a variety of moods, Jaehyun continues to expand his own musical spectrum," SM Entertainment said. "We ask for your continued interest and support."

Ahead of the release, Jaehyun will also meet fans during his 'MONO' fan-con tour in Taipei on July 4 and 5.
