It has belatedly come to light that (Jessica H.o.) Jessi took part in several university festival stages this fall without receiving any appearance fee, sparking renewed attention from fans and netizens alike.

Beginning in September at Gwangju Health University, Jessi went on to perform at campuses across the country, including Daejin University, Changwon National University, Cheongwoon University, and a dental college, spending meaningful time connecting directly with students through live performances.

At the time, Jessi reportedly said, “If it’s a stage where I can closely connect with students, I’m more than happy to stand on it,” and took to the stage without setting any special conditions. While there was little mention of this before or after the shows, the details were later shared online and quickly gained attention.

During the festival stages, Jessi delivered powerful performances of her signature hits such as “What Type of X,” “NUNU NANA,” and “ZOOM,” along with her newer track “Newsflash,” fully commanding the stage with her trademark energy. Audience members who witnessed the performances firsthand left enthusiastic reactions, saying things like, “Her live skills are still top tier,” and “Seeing her in person, the energy is on another level.”

Jessi is a 20-year veteran artist who debuted in December 2005. She rose to widespread public recognition through her appearance on the survival program 'Unpretty Rapstar,' where her bold presence left a strong impression. Known for her unapologetic charisma, powerful rap, and solid vocal skills, she has since established herself as a distinctive and popular figure in the industry.

In June, Jessi launched her independent label, UNNIE Company, and has continued steady activities through new releases and performances. She recently released her fourth EP, 'P.M.S.,' expanding her reach through both domestic and international stages.

Toward the end of the year, Jessi appeared as a main artist at 'Thailand’s Atlas Super Club Bangkok' and 'Vietnam’s Miss Cosmo 2025 Festival.' Following the performances, she actively engaged with fans by personally sharing fan-shot videos on her social media, further highlighting her close connection with her audience.
