BLACKPINK achieves triple crown on circle chart with 'DEADLINE'

BLACKPINK has once again proven its powerful presence by topping multiple charts, including a triple crown on the Circle Chart, following earlier success on Hanteo Chart’s weekly and monthly rankings.

According to Circle Chart, operated by the Korea Music Content Association, BLACKPINK’s third mini album ‘DEADLINE,’ released on February 27 at 2 PM, ranked No. 1 on the Album Chart for Week 9 (February 22 to February 28). The album recorded total sales of 1,750,692 copies, a remarkable achievement considering the count reflects only about a day and a half of tracking.

In addition, BLACKPINK also secured the top spot on the Retail Album Chart and Social Chart 3.0, completing a triple crown on Circle Chart. As the group’s first full group release in approximately three years and five months, the album has drawn intense attention from music fans worldwide.

Previously, YG Entertainment noted that global demand for the album had exceeded expectations, leading to additional production. In fact, according to Hanteo Chart, the album recorded 1.46 million copies sold on its first day, the highest first day sales ever achieved by a K pop female artist. Within just two and a half days of tracking, it simultaneously topped both weekly and monthly charts, signaling extraordinary popularity.

BLACKPINK’s mini album ‘DEADLINE’ captures what the group describes as their “greatest, irreversible moments” and the brilliance of their current peak. The album includes five tracks: the confident and energetic title track ‘GO,’ along with ‘JUMP,’ ‘Me and my,’ ‘Champion,’ and ‘Fxxxboy.’

The album has also received strong praise from major international media outlets. Rolling Stone wrote that “BLACKPINK has returned at the peak of their powers,” highlighting how each member’s individuality stands out while the group confidently asserts its identity in the way it does best. Billboard likewise praised the title track ‘GO,’ describing it as “a song that truly represents the group.”
