Taeyeon to release 'Manchanga' remake with RESCENE's Wonyi and Minami starring in MV

Taeyeon is starring RESCENE's Wonyi and Minami in the music video for her upcoming single 'Manchanga', a Korean remake of tuki.'s viral hit "BANSANKA."

A teaser dropped June 24 on Kangnam's YouTube channel 'Dongnechingu Kangnami', showing two girls in a dreamlike, emotionally charged setting — one carrying deep wounds, the other reaching out to her. Wonyi and Minami pull off the contrasting roles with surprising depth for rookies, and fans are already buzzing about the full video.

'Manchanga' is the first release under the 'J-POP REMAKE' project, which pairs Korean artists with beloved Japanese tracks for fresh reinterpretations. The original "BANSANKA" was tuki.'s breakout debut single in 2023 — she was just 15 when it topped Billboard Japan's Hot 100 and blew up across Korean social media through short-form challenges.

The full single and music video drop June 29 at 6 PM KST.
