Seventeen's V8 (Vernon & The8) unveil teaser for first mini album ‘V8’

Seventeen unit V8, the duo project featuring Vernon and The8, released the teaser video for their upcoming first mini album ‘V8’ on June 11. The teaser titled 'RATS NEST, Wasted Youth' offers a cinematic glimpse into the project’s conceptual world.

In the newly released video, the two artists are seen engaging in quiet everyday moments such as eating, sketching graffiti, and moving through scenes of peaceful daily life. The atmosphere gradually shifts as the visuals progress, ending with dynamic shots of skating and running, which leaves viewers with a sense of motion and unresolved tension that heightens curiosity about the project’s narrative.

The upcoming album ‘V8’ explores themes of wandering, confusion, and the moments of recovery and growth found within those experiences. Framed through the concept of “wasted youth,” the album reflects on time passed and the emotional landscapes shaped by it.

Beyond its conceptual direction, ‘V8’ also highlights global collaboration. Vernon and The8 have taken a leading role in the production of the project, working alongside international artists including Pharrell Williams, BUMZU, KIRARA, Mechatok, and Dylan Brady. These collaborations are expected to bring a distinctive and experimental edge to the album’s sound.

‘V8’ is scheduled for official release on June 29, with anticipation continuing to build following the teaser’s release.
