BTS reveals title of 5th full-length album ‘ARIRANG’ ahead of long-awaited comeback

At midnight on January 16, BTS announced through the global fan platform Weverse that their new album, set for release on March 20, will be titled 'ARIRANG.' The album will feature a total of 14 tracks and has already drawn significant attention for adopting the name of Korea’s most iconic folk song.
'ARIRANG' symbolizes BTS’s identity as artists as well as the emotions they wish to share with listeners around the world. As they prepare for their long-awaited return, the group naturally turned their focus toward their roots, their beginnings, and their inner stories. Through the album, BTS sought to reflect their identity as a group that originated in Korea, along with the deep longing and profound love that have long occupied a central place in their hearts. The album title serves as a symbolic representation of both the group’s essence and the emotional core of the new release.
Since their debut, BTS has consistently delivered sincere music rooted in the members’ personal experiences and thoughts. This authenticity has fostered a strong sense of connection with listeners and has become a defining strength of their music. In particular, the upcoming album explores universal emotions such as longing and deep affection, raising expectations for widespread resonance among fans across the globe.
Meanwhile, BTS is set to kick off a new world tour beginning April 9 at Goyang Stadium. The tour will span 79 shows across 34 cities worldwide, marking the largest number of concerts ever held in a single tour by a K-pop act. Additional stops in Japan and the Middle East are expected to be announced, further expanding the scale of the tour. The group will also make history as the first Korean artists to headline major stadiums in cities including El Paso, Foxborough, Arlington, and Baltimore. To heighten audience immersion, BTS plans to introduce a 360-degree stage design for the tour.
