RESCENE’s Minami thrilled after BTS references her viral “Yaho” catchphrase
by Minsoo-Kim · allkpopRESCENE member Minami expressed her excitement after BTS unexpectedly referenced her viral “Yaho” catchphrase during the group’s recent concert in Busan.
On June 14 KST, Minami shared her reaction through a fan communication platform, writing, “BTS sunbaenims… Yaho… This is crazy,” before adding the Japanese expression “yabai,” often used to describe something amazing or exciting.
The moment came during the second night of BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN BUSAN, held on June 13 at Busan Asiad Main Stadium.
During the concert, members V, Jung Kook, and Jin surprised fans by recreating Minami’s popular “Yaho” series on stage. Taking turns with the microphone, the members enthusiastically shouted, “Busan~ Yaho~,” drawing huge cheers from the tens of thousands of fans in attendance.
The reference had already begun gaining attention a day earlier when V posted a group photo of BTS on social media alongside the caption, “Busan Yaho.”
The phrase originates from Minami’s unique take on Japanese gyaru-inspired content, which recently went viral across short-form video platforms. The trend quickly became a popular meme online, generating increased attention for RESCENE and contributing to renewed interest in the group’s music and activities.
The moment was especially meaningful for Minami because she has long been known as a devoted ARMY, having admired BTS for more than a decade before making her own debut in the music industry.
Following the concert, fans flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating what many described as a true “successful fan” moment for Minami as her idols acknowledged a trend she helped create.
