Red Velvet’s Irene is making her return with her first full-length album, 'Biggest Fan.' It marks her comeback approximately one year and four months after her previous release.

'Biggest Fan' was released on March 30 at 6 PM (KST) across major music platforms. The music video for the title track was also unveiled on YouTube and other channels the same day.

The new album delicately captures a wide range of emotions Irene has encountered in her daily life. A total of 10 tracks spanning various genres are included, with “Biggest Fan” serving as the centerpiece.

To celebrate the release, Irene will also host a special live broadcast. Beginning at 5 PM (KST) on the same day, she will connect with fans via Red Velvet’s YouTube and TikTok channels to share her thoughts on the comeback, introduce the album, and reveal behind-the-scenes stories from the production process.

She also sat down with Dispatch for an in-depth Q&A about her latest full-length solo album:

Q&A With Irene on Her First Full-Length Album “Biggest Fan”

Q. This marks your comeback about one year and four months after your first mini album 'Like A Flower,' released in November 2024. How do you feel?
It’s a mix of nervousness, relief, and excitement. I hope this album can be something that stays by ReVeluv’s (fandom name) side whenever they need it.

Q. As this is your first full-length album, we heard you contributed many ideas during the process. What did you focus on the most?

I paid the most attention to the overall storytelling so that the tracks flow together as one cohesive narrative. I also wanted to convey the message that “my biggest fan is myself.” I realized that believing in and supporting yourself makes you stronger. It’s something I wanted to say to ReVeluvs and also to myself.

Q. Is there anything you’re currently deeply into—something you’d call your own “biggest fan” moment?

I’ve been really into listening to my album. I’ve been playing the unreleased tracks on repeat with my earphones more than ever. I’m very excited—and a bit nervous—about finally sharing them with everyone soon.

Q. Performance is something people always associate with you. What is the key point of the choreography for the title track “Biggest Fan”?
The choreography fits the song perfectly. The mood and message of the track are fully reflected in the performance, so I hope people watch the entire stage rather than just parts of it. There are a lot of signature moves, and we worked hard to synchronize every detail—from expressions to gestures—with the dancers, so I think it will be very enjoyable to watch.

Q. Among the B-side tracks, which songs would you personally recommend the most?

The songs that best match my personal style are “Don’t Wanna Get Up” and “Million Miles Away.” They’re both pop tracks with different charms, and I hope they receive lots of love. I’m also curious to see which songs ReVeluvs will like. (Laughs)

Q. We heard that “Love Can Make A Way” reflects your personal story. What message did you want to convey through this song?

It’s a song that expresses reassurance—that my past self is always with me—along with feelings of gratitude and apology toward the person I used to be. I hope listeners can also reflect on their own journeys and offer themselves warm, kind words.

Q. Following the release of your first full album, you’re also planning your first solo concert tour. What are your plans moving forward?

I want to stay active and spend as much time as possible with ReVeluvs. I’m really excited to show different sides of myself again after a while, and I’m happy that this year will give me more opportunities to be with fans than ever before. I’m working hard to prepare for my first solo concert tour, so please look forward to it. I hope to create many wonderful memories with ReVeluvs in every city. Let’s all stay strong—ReVeluvs and me!
