Min Hee Jin lawsuits with BELIFT LAB and SOURCE MUSIC temporarily suspended
by Minsoo-Kim · allkpopLegal proceedings involving Min Hee Jin, CEO of ooak Records and former head of ADOR, against BELIFT LAB and SOURCE MUSIC have been temporarily suspended.
According to the legal community on March 30th KST, the Civil Division 12 of the Seoul Western District Court has changed the hearing dates for the damages lawsuits filed by BELIFT LAB and SOURCE MUSIC against Min Hee Jin to tentative dates. As a result, the next hearings for both cases will be scheduled at a later time.
Min Hee Jin has been facing lawsuits seeking damages of approximately 2 billion KRW from BELIFT LAB (the agency of ILLIT) and around 500 million KRW(~327,000 USD) from SOURCE MUSIC (the agency of LE SSERAFIM).
Meanwhile, Min Hee Jin established ooak Records after leaving ADOR in November 2024. Her legal disputes with HYBE and its subsidiary label ADOR are still ongoing.
Last year, ADOR filed a damages lawsuit worth approximately 43 billion KRW against Min Hee Jin and Danielle, a former ADOR artist. Following her departure, Min Hee Jin also initiated legal action against HYBE, including a claim worth approximately 26 billion KRW related to the exercise of a put option.
