Song Joong Ki sings his wife's favorite song on 'The Seasons - Lee Young Ji's Rainbow'

On the January 10 broadcast of KBS2’s 'The Seasons – Lee Young Ji’s Rainbow,' Song Joong Ki made his first-ever appearance on a music talk show since his debut 17 years ago.

The episode also featured Seventeen’s BSS, former GFRIEND members, and singer Kassy.

During the show, Song Joong Ki shared, "This studio doesn’t feel unfamiliar. I was a 'Music Bank' MC for two years. I wasn’t nervous back then, but now I’m really tense." He joked, "My fans once said they’d sue me if I ever sang or danced anywhere. I came here prepared to be sued."

To ease his nerves, Lee Young Ji humorously reassured him, saying, "No one here expects you to sing well."

Song Joong Ki also complimented Lee Young Ji, calling her "the Oprah Winfrey of Korea." She responded, "I’ve loved you as an actor since I was young. 'A Werewolf Boy' is my favorite movie. I wanted to marry you, but unfortunately, you're taken."

Regarding his role as 'Music Bank' MC, Song Joong Ki explained, "The position became vacant, so I auditioned. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity." A past clip of him dancing to 4Minute's "Hot Issue" was played, causing him to laugh and ask them to stop. He shared, "There was a lot of winking and I would raise one leg when greeting alongside fellow MC Seo Hyo Rim. It was fun, so my leg kept going higher!" He then reenacted the pose with Lee Young Ji, making the audience laugh.

Lee Young Ji asked the father of two, "A typical question—do your kids look more like you or your wife?" Song Joong Ki replied, "Our first child is about 19 months old. Our son resembles his mom more, and our daughter looks more like me. They’re both so beautiful."

When asked if his mindset has changed since becoming the head of a household, Song Joong Ki reflected, "My outlook on life has changed a lot. I think, ‘While I have influence in society, I should do more good.’ That way, the world will be better for my kids." He shared that even his YouTube algorithm has changed, saying, "Parents raising kids will know ‘Ppi Bbo Ppi Bbo 119.' The teachers give detailed guidance. I’ve also watched every episode of Dr. Oh Eun Young’s ‘My Golden Kids’ to learn more."

When Lee Young Ji asked, "What would you do if your kids, like me, didn’t listen and did whatever they wanted?" Song Joong Ki responded, "I don’t think you’re a 'golden' (delinquent) kid. I’m still a rookie dad, so I’m not sure, but my wife and I believe that loving them sincerely is the best education. We try to have as many conversations as possible."

When asked about his favorite song, Song Joong Ki answered, "Since my wife listens to songs I like, she’s grown fond of ‘For Lovers Who Hesitate’ and Gwak Jin Eon’s ‘Boast’." Lee Young Ji teased him, saying, "You’re so sweet. I asked about your favorite song, and you ended up talking about your wife."

Song Joong Ki then performed "Love on My Heart" from the 'My Mister' OST and Sung Si Kyung’s "Two People."
