YOUNG POSSE displays 'overwhelming stage presence' at first solo concert in Taipei
by hjang · allkpopYOUNG POSSE has successfully completed their solo concert in Taipei, following their success in Korea.
YOUNG POSSE held their first solo concert, 'YOUNG POSSE 1ST CONCERT [POSSE UP : THE COME UP Concert]', in Taipei on December 13, meeting with local fans.
The concert, 'POSSE UP', takes its motif from the first track of their debut EP, 'MACARONI CHEESE'. Through a setlist that fully embodied the group's identity, the members displayed their "all-rounder" capabilities, transcending fixed positions in vocals, rap, and performance.
The group opened the show with "POSSE UP!", a track that pours out their bold ambitions over a fast jersey beat, instantly grabbing the audience's attention. They continued to heat up the atmosphere with performances of their representative hits, including "MACARONI CHEESE", "FREESTYLE", and "ATE THAT". Notably, YOUNG POSSE doubled the viewing pleasure with special arrangements exclusive to the concert, such as adding dance breaks to existing songs.
The highlight of the night was the five distinct solo performances showcasing each member's unique personality. Doeun covered Jennie's 'ExtraL (feat. Doechii)', while Jiana took the stage with Ariana Grande's '7 rings' and 'worst behavior'. Han Jieun performed Tyla's 'Been Thinking', Yeonjung covered Beyoncé's 'Fever', and Sunhye presented Audrey Nuna's 'damn Right', allowing each member to flaunt their matured musical competencies.
Additionally, showing their attention to local fans, YOUNG POSSE performed a cover of the popular Taipei hit "Without You" by OSN, revealing their thoughtful love for the fans. Maintaining high energy until the very end, they performed three encore songs without a break, proving their overwhelming stage command.
After successfully wrapping up the Taipei show, YOUNG POSSE shared their thoughts: "Thanks to the powerful cheering of Teleposse (fandom name), we feel like we gained even more energy. We will not take your love for granted and will continue to show you our growth."
Meanwhile, YOUNG POSSE has entered the final stages of preparation for a new song release to repay the fervent love from fans both domestically and abroad.
