Hyeri responds to online buzz over fan meeting outfit: “I’ll work on it if fans want me to”

Singer and actress Hyeri has addressed recent online discussion surrounding her appearance following her solo fan meeting in Seoul.

After comments about her figure began circulating online, Hyeri spoke to fans through a fan communication platform, sharing her honest thoughts on the situation.

“Personally, I like myself the way I am, but I understand that some people may think it looks unprofessional,” she wrote. “Although I don’t really understand why being thin is considered professional.”

She continued by reassuring fans that she would continue taking care of her health, saying, “If Hyerumi (my fandom) wants it, I’ll work hard. I’ll exercise and stay healthy.” She added, “We’re all beautiful just the way we are.”

The discussion began after highlights from Hyeri’s June 13 KST solo fan meeting were released online. During the event, she performed a medley of Girl’s Day hit songs while wearing a fitted dress. Some viewers commented on the outfit’s silhouette, sparking unnecessary debate about her appearance.

Many fans, however, came to her defense, pointing out that the look was largely influenced by the dress’s fabric and design. Others praised Hyeri for responding with confidence and positivity while promoting a healthy perspective on body image and self-acceptance.
