Million-subscriber beauty YouTuber Daddoa dies at 29

According to Leferi, the beauty creator management agency she was affiliated with, Daddoa, died on December 16. The exact cause of death was not disclosed.
The agency stated, “In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family, we ask that people refrain from speculation so that the deceased may be remembered in peace.”
Leferi also paid tribute, saying, “Daddoa was more than a first-generation YouTuber. She was a pioneering figure who was among the first to prove the global potential of K-beauty.”
Born in 1996, Daddoa rose to prominence on social media with content focused on fashion, makeup, and beauty. Her beauty blog, launched based on her overseas study experience during her school years, drew significant attention. In 2014, she opened her YouTube channel and began her career as a full-fledged creator.
Just one year after her debut, Daddoa signed an exclusive contract with China’s Youku and was named a top beauty creator by Weibo, rapidly expanding her influence across Asia.
In 2021, she paused her activities to resume her studies and prepare for graduate school—plans she had postponed for years—then the sudden news of her passing was announced.
Following the news, netizens have been sharing messages of condolence, writing, “Please rest peacefully,” “Even without new videos, I hoped you were doing well somewhere,” and “You worked so hard. You will be missed.”
