Oh My Girl's Hyojung to make solo comeback in May

Hyojung, a member of the group Oh My Girl, is preparing for a solo comeback.

According to a report by News1 on April 30, Hyojung will release new solo music on May 21st. This marks her first solo comeback in five months, following the release of her special single "Christmas Night Train" in December 2024.

Since debuting in 2015, Hyojung has been beloved for her exceptional vocal skills as the leader and lead vocalist of Oh My Girl.

In particular, Hyojung has showcased her unique singing talent through various solo OST contributions, including:

  • "Sarr" from 'Queen of Mystery 2'
  • "I'm Loving You" from 'My Only One'
  • "Today Like Yesterday" from 'Hyena'
  • "Eve" from the series of the same name.

As she previously participated in composing her single "Christmas Night Train," curiosity is growing regarding what kind of musical growth and capability she will display in this upcoming comeback.

Meanwhile, Hyojung is also preparing for full-group activities with Oh My Girl. In February, WM Entertainment announced, "Both the members remaining with WM and those who have moved to other agencies have agreed to continue team activities involving all six members. We plan to focus on a concert and album activities within the first half of this year."

Expectations are high for what kind of impact Hyojung will make on listeners with this new solo release before she dives into the group's full-scale comeback.
