OH MY GIRL push back full-group comeback to first half of 2027
by spjw99 · allkpopOH MY GIRL fans will have to wait a little longer for the full group to reunite on stage.
On June 22, the group's agency WM Entertainment shared an official statement through social media, apologizing for the lack of clear updates around the group's planned full-group activities and concerts. "We sincerely apologize for not being able to share enough news with our fans regarding the group activities and performances we previously announced through the media," the agency said.
WM made it clear the six members are still very much committed to working together under the OH MY GIRL name. The holdup, according to the agency, comes down to the music itself. "The members are united in wanting to continue together as OH MY GIRL," the statement read, "but as the process of gathering and selecting higher-quality music for the album stretched on, we determined it would be difficult to proceed on the original timeline."
OH MY GIRL had originally teased a full-group comeback for the first half of 2026. That plan has now shifted, with the agency setting its sights on a first-half 2027 release instead. "Since this is a return after a long time, we're pouring everything into delivering even more polished music and stages, with a target of releasing in the first half of next year," WM explained.
The wait won't be entirely quiet, though. The agency confirmed that solo album activities from the members are lined up for the second half of 2026. WM also said it will extend the membership period so fans aren't shortchanged on their benefits because of the delay, adding, "We once again apologize to the fans who have waited so long, and we'll do our best to restore trust through more responsible and prompt communication."
Back in February, WM had announced the six-member reunion, explaining at the time that OH MY GIRL were preparing for full-group activities "in a flexible way that goes beyond agency distinctions, under a cooperative structure with RBW."
OH MY GIRL debuted in 2015 and have been beloved for hits like 'Secret Garden,' 'Nonstop,' and 'Dun Dun Dance.'
