BTS's 'ARIRANG' tops 3 million pre-saves as global fans anticipate full-group comeback

Global music fans are showing overwhelming enthusiasm for BTS’s upcoming release.

Spotify
announced on February 4 that pre-saves for BTS’s fifth full-length album 'ARIRANG' have surpassed approximately 3 million.

Pre-saves refer to the number of times users save an album in advance of its release. 'ARIRANG' exceeded 1 million pre-saves within just two days of becoming available and has continued to see steady growth.

The record for pre-saves currently stands at around 6 million, held by Taylor Swift. This has fueled speculation among fans about whether BTS will set a new record.

'ARIRANG' has also claimed the No. 1 spot on Spotify’s “Countdown Charts Global” for two consecutive weeks. The chart ranks upcoming albums and singles based on pre-save activity.

Strong anticipation for BTS’s comeback is evident across multiple indicators. Following the announcement of the new album and a world tour, membership sign-ups on fan platform Weverse reportedly tripled.

Meanwhile, previously released tracks “Yet to Come” and “Love Maze” surpassed a combined 105 million cumulative streams as of December last year, earning Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.

A HYBE representative commented, “With BTS preparing for their first full-group comeback in approximately three years and nine months, there appears to be a growing movement among fans to reconnect with the group’s message.”

BTS will release 'ARIRANG' on March 20 at 1 PM KST.
