Former 2NE1 member Park Bom announces new career as a songwriter with self-composed track

Former 2NE1 member Park Bom has announced she is embarking on a new journey as a songwriter.

On the 8th, Park Bom took to her social media to share the news with her fans. She posted a short video clip with the caption, "I've decided to also be active as a songwriter."

The singer introduced the music in the video as a self-composed track for which she wrote both the melody and the lyrics. She revealed the song's title is "On a Rainy Day" and added, "I will record it with my own voice and upload the full version later,".

This announcement follows her recent departure from her former agency, D-NATION Entertainment. Last month, the company confirmed that her exclusive contract had ended, stating, "Park Bom has been focusing on her health recovery. We decided to finalize the contract to respect her future direction."

Park Bom has been on a temporary hiatus to focus on her health since August of last year, while actively communicating with fans through social media. She debuted with the legendary girl group 2NE1 in 2009, which released numerous hit songs such as "I Don't Care," "I Am The Best," and "Lonely."
