Muzie looks back on his time with UV

by · allkpop

On a recent episode of the TV show 'Kim Joo Ha's Day and Night', singer and producer Muzie talked about his career. He explained that he originally only wanted to be a music producer behind the scenes. However, the fun music group UV, which he formed with famous comedian Yoo Se Yoon, unexpectedly became a huge hit.

Muzie shared that doing TV and radio shows helps him make a living. By earning money this way, he does not have to worry about making money from his music. This allows him to create the music he truly loves without any stress.

He also confessed that he felt a bit insecure during UV's early days. He had worked very hard in a band before, but no one noticed him. When he suddenly became famous just by working with a big star like Yoo Se Yoon, he felt mixed emotions and could not fully enjoy the success. Looking back, he feels a little sad that he did not just enjoy those fun moments.

A Quick Look at MUZIE

Muzie is a Korean singer, songwriter, and the main singer and producer of the group UV. He became famous through UV, but many people underrate his true musical talent. He copied his name from his favorite R&B singer's pen name, "musze." Now, he simply says his name is the word "musician" without the "cian."

Muzie can do many genres, but he mainly loves creating 80s and 90s music like City Pop, Hip-hop, and New Jack Swing. He likes to keep his songwriting very simple, often using just one catchy main melody to carry an entire song.
