Song Min Ho’s supervisor denies allegations of collusion in military service violation trial
by Demian09 · allkpopA supervisor responsible for managing Song Min Ho (Mino) during his alternative military service denied allegations of premeditated collusion during a court hearing on May 21.
The hearing was held at the Seoul Western District Court Criminal Division 10 in connection with violations of the Military Service Act.
The supervisor, identified only as Mr. A, was indicted on charges of neglecting his duties in managing and supervising Song Min Ho’s public service work. During the hearing, the court questioned Mr. A regarding the handling of Song’s attendance records and whether there had been any prior coordination between the two.
Mr. A acknowledged that there had been improper issues in the attendance management process. However, he denied allegations that he and Song Min Ho had prearranged the situation or divided roles in advance.
Mr. A also requested that Song Min Ho be summoned as a witness. The court stated that it would review the request after it is formally submitted.
Song Min Ho served as a public service worker at the Mapo Facilities Management Corporation from March 2023 to December 2024 as part of his alternative military service. He is accused of violating the Military Service Act by allegedly failing to properly report to work during his service period.
At his first hearing on April 21, prosecutors sought a sentence of one year and six months in prison for Song. Prosecutors argued that Song had effectively failed to carry out his duties due to repeated unauthorized absences and had falsely explained the situation to supervising authorities.
In his final statement at the previous hearing, Song said, “I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone. I am currently receiving treatment for panic disorder. If I am given another opportunity to serve after recovering my health, I will faithfully complete my service until the end.”
