HYBE and Geffen Records confirm final lineup of new girl group SAINT SATINE, Sakura joins as last member
by Demian09 · allkpopHYBE Labels announced on May 13 that Sakura has been selected as the final member of SAINT SATINE, a new girl group co-produced by HYBE and U.S.-based Geffen Records.
The lineup was finalized through the 12th episode of the audition program 'WORLD SCOUT THE FINAL PIECE,' which aired the previous day on the Japanese OTT platform ABEMA. With this, the four-member girl group SAINT SATINE has officially been confirmed.
Sakura, who is from Japan, secured the final spot in the group after competing against an estimated 14,000-to-1 selection ratio. Her addition completes the global lineup.
Other members include Emily (United States), Lexie (Sweden), and Samara (Brazil), all of whom previously appeared in the audition project 'The Debut: Dream Academy,' which also produced the girl group KATSEYE.
In an emotional statement, Sakura said she had always dreamed of becoming an artist on the global stage. “I wanted to shine on the world stage. I’m so grateful to have achieved my dream,” she said through tears.
SAINT SATINE is now preparing for its official debut with a clear focus on the global music market, marking the next step in HYBE and Geffen Records’ expanding international collaboration.
