Han Sun Hwa captivates viewers with her remarkable in-depth acting in 'We Are All Trying Here'

Han Sun Hwa has breathed life into her character with remarkable depth.

In the JTBC weekend drama 'We Are All Trying Here,' which aired on May 2 and 3, the story of Jang Mi Ran (played by Han Sun Hwa) began to unfold in earnest as she became entangled with Hwang Dong Man (played by Koo Kyo Hwan) and Byun Eun Ah (played by Go Youn Jung). In particular, a scene in which Byun Eun Ah delivers blunt “fact-based criticism” to Jang Mi Ran after she rejects a script drew significant attention, highlighting the strong chemistry between the two actresses.

In the episode, Jang Mi Ran meets Hwang Dong Man—who had previously delivered sharp, cutting remarks toward Park Kyung Se (played by Oh Jung Se)—and pours out her long-held frustrations. Notably, as she spoke about her experiences while filming Park Kyung Se’s project, her emotions came rushing out like a flood, revealing the character’s complex inner turmoil.

Jang Mi Ran also personally performs a wedding song for Hwang Dong Man, delivering a passionate performance to help him save face, which surprises those around her. In contrast, her indifferent reaction to issues surrounding Oh Jung Hee (played by Bae Jong Ok) underscores the growing tension between the two characters.

Meanwhile, Jang Mi Ran expresses dissatisfaction with a script to director Lee Jun Hwan (played by Shim Hee Seop), only to grow visibly uncomfortable after hearing Byun Eun Ah’s opinion. Struggling to suppress her emotions, she ultimately fails to hold back, further heightening anticipation for how their relationship will develop.

Through this performance, Han Sun Hwa fully embodies the traits of her character, enhancing its appeal with nuanced acting. She skillfully balances a wide emotional range, seamlessly immersing herself in the role.

From her lively back-and-forth chemistry with Hwang Dong Man, to her detached attitude toward Oh Jung Hee, and the moment she is struck by Byun Eun Ah’s pointed remarks, Han Sun Hwa vividly brings each dynamic to life. Her distinct presence not only adds to the drama’s entertainment value but also deepens viewers’ immersion.
