Lee Seung Gi expresses affection for his wife Lee Da In and her second pregnancy during 'Immortal Songs'

Singer and actor Lee Seung Gi expressed his affection for his wife Lee Da In on stage during 'Immortal Songs.'

The latest broadcast of KBS2’s variety program 'Immortal Songs' featured the second part of a special dedicated to composer Kim Do Hoon.

Attention was drawn to Lee Seung Gi, who had previously won first place in Part 1 of the special.

When asked about his thoughts on winning, Lee Seung Gi said, “Since my debut, this is one of the top three most nerve-wracking performances I’ve had on stage.” He added, “My hands were tingling. I was really nervous performing in front of the original composer, but I’m glad I sang as well as I prepared.”

When host Lee Chan Won congratulated him, saying, “This will be a great gift for your soon-to-be-born second child,” Lee Seung Gi then opened up about a scheduling conflict with the upcoming 'Immortal Songs - King of Kings' competition.

Revealing that his second child is due in July, he said, “The King of Kings competition is also in July, so I might not be able to participate.” He added, “How can I go on broadcast when my wife is giving birth?” drawing laughter from the set.

When the MCs persistently asked for the exact due date, Lee Seung Gi jokingly avoided the question, saying, “Around July,” seemingly trying to dodge the competition schedule and sparking more laughter. Kim Jun Hyun also lightened the mood by jokingly repeating, “Our King of Kings competition is also around July or August.”

Lastly, he also mentioned to the audience his upcoming concert scheduled for October 24–25, joking, “If I can’t make it to the King of Kings, please come to my concert instead…”

Lee Seung Gi married actress Lee Da In in April 2023, and the couple welcomed their first daughter in February the following year. Lee Da In announced her second pregnancy this past February, and the couple is currently focusing on prenatal care.
