Former Apink member Hong Yoo Kyung announces pregnancy

Former Apink member Hong Yoo Kyung has announced that she is expecting her first child.

On May 31, Hong shared the news through her social media account, writing, "Everyone, a beautiful baby has come into my life. I've been so eager to tell you all, but now that I've reached 16 weeks and entered a more stable stage of pregnancy, I can finally share the news."

She continued, "Our baby's nickname is Ddangdang. We chose it with the hope that the baby will grow up confident and strong. I'm still a beginner mom-to-be who doesn't know much yet, but I'll keep learning and do my best to become a wonderful mother. Please continue to watch over me and send lots of love and support. If there are any fellow Horse year moms out there, let's communicate and prepare for this journey together. Ddangdang, grow up healthy and strong until we meet. I love you."

Along with the announcement, Hong also shared an ultrasound photo of her baby.

Hong debuted as a member of Apink in 2011 but left the group in 2013. Despite her departure, she has maintained a close friendship with the members over the years. She recently attended the wedding of fellow Apink member Yoon Bomi and producer Rado.

Hong married a dermatologist in 2023.
