ILLIT’s "Magnetic" Hits 800 Million Streams on Spotify

According to Spotify on the 1st, ILLIT’s debut track, “Magnetic,” surpassed 800 million cumulative streams as of the 28th of last month. This marks the fastest achievement of this milestone for any K-pop group's debut song. Despite being released over two years ago, the feat proves the track's enduring popularity.
“Magnetic” is a dance track that blends PluggnB and House. The song compares the feelings toward a crush to a "magnet." It gained immense global love, sparking a challenge craze thanks to its addictive melody, witty lyrics, and signature finger-pointing choreography.
Since its release in March 2024, the song has maintained steady popularity for over two years. At the time of its launch, it achieved the following:
- Billboard & Official Charts: Became the first and fastest K-pop debut song to enter the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the U.K. Official Singles Top 100.
- Oricon Success: Recently became the fastest song by a foreign female artist to surpass 300 million streams on Japan’s Oricon Weekly Streaming Ranking.
ILLIT’s cumulative streams on Spotify have now exceeded 2.3 billion, with seven songs, including "Magnetic," surpassing the 100-million-stream mark.
