A touching moment between longtime friends Yoo Jae Suk and Song Eun Yi has captured public attention after the two were seen exchanging an emotional greeting.

On December 21, a video titled 'The 3rd Pinggyego Awards' was uploaded to the YouTube channel DdeunDdeun. The awards ceremony was hosted by Yoo Jae Suk and brought together comedians, singers, and actors who helped make Pinggyego shine throughout the year. The event unfolded in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The grand prize, determined through fan voting, went to Ji Suk Jin. He secured first place with 62,445 votes out of a total of 97,192, earning an impressive 64.2 percent of the vote.

After the ceremony, Yoo Jae Suk shared heartfelt closing remarks. “I hope everyone finishes the year well,” he said. “Just like this year, I hope next year you can all endure and overcome things in your own positions. Even if you do not achieve everything you wish for, I hope you can accomplish at least one thing.”

He continued, “It was a great honor to gather people from various fields in the entertainment industry and hold this kind of awards ceremony. I sincerely thank every person who joined us today.”

Reflecting on the year, Yoo added, “It truly was not an easy year. Even if it was not glamorous, being able to wrap it up like this, talking and laughing together, makes me happier than anything. In 2026, rather than wishing for only good things, I simply hope everything remains uneventful. I sincerely wish for the health and well being of myself, those around me, and all of you.” He also expressed gratitude to the Pinggyego production team and viewers.

Following the ceremony, Yoo personally greeted each attendee. He thanked Lee Kwang Soo for elevating the atmosphere throughout the event, saying, “I am always grateful.” Lee responded with a respectful 90 degree bow, drawing attention for his show of admiration.

The most emotional moment came when Yoo met Song Eun Yi, his close friend of over 30 years. Upon seeing him, Song said quietly, “You worked so hard,” her expression visibly emotional. Yoo gently put an arm around her shoulder and replied, “Let’s meet later and talk.” Song responded, “Yes, let’s talk later,” leaving viewers deeply moved by their sincere friendship.

Meanwhile, Yoo Jae Suk has recently faced a challenging time as several colleagues he worked with have departed from programs he hosts. On MBC’s 'Hangout with Yoo,' cast member Lee Yi Kyung stepped down after controversy erupted over explicit KakaoTalk messages and direct message screenshots released by a German woman identified as A. Lee denied the allegations and filed a lawsuit, but the controversy intensified after the woman reversed her position, ultimately leading to his exit from the show.

Lee later claimed on social media that he had no choice but to step down following recommendations from the production team, sparking further debate. His comments at another awards ceremony, where he mentioned only HaHa and Joo Woo Jae and said he missed them, led to speculation that the remarks were indirectly aimed at Yoo Jae Suk and the 'Hangout with Yoo' production team.

In addition, Jo Se Ho, who previously co-hosted tvN’s 'You Quiz on the Block' with Yoo Jae Suk, also stepped down after becoming embroiled in allegations linking him to a criminal organization involved in illegal money laundering. Jo denied receiving any illegal funds, stating the allegations were untrue, while acknowledging that he should have been more cautious about his relationships when he was younger.
