Who is Moon Ga Bi?

Amid confirmation that model Moon Ga Bi has given birth to Jung Woo Sung’s son, public interest in her has surged.

On November 24, Jung Woo Sung’s agency, Artist Company, released a statement, "The child Moon Ga Bi revealed on social media is indeed Jung Woo Sung’s biological son. Discussions are underway to determine the best way to raise the child. As a father, Jung Woo Sung will fulfill his responsibilities to the fullest.” However, the agency added, “We cannot confirm details about the timing of the child’s birth, the nature of Jung Woo Sung and Moon Ga Bi’s relationship, or any plans for marriage, as these are private matters.”

The two were reportedly close since 2022. Moon Ga Bi informed Jung Woo Sung of her pregnancy in June of last year and gave birth to their son this past March. It is said they were not officially in a relationship and had no plans to marry.

Who is Moon Ga Bi?

Born in 1989, Moon Ga Bi is 16 years younger than Jung Woo Sung, who was born in 1973. She gained attention for her exotic looks and appearances on various entertainment shows before taking a break from the industry in 2020.

Moon Ga Bi debuted in the entertainment industry in 2017 through the OnStyle program 'Attractive TV.' She later gained recognition as the MC of 'Get It Beauty 2018' and appeared on 'Law of the Jungle in Last Indian Ocean.'

Known for her glamorous figure and tanned skin, Moon Ga Bi often drew attention for her Western-like appearance, which led to speculation that she might be of mixed heritage. However, she clarified in interviews that she is “100% Korean.” She stated, “I don’t have any desire to appear mixed-race. I am simply presenting the most authentic version of myself.” Regarding her tanning, she explained, “I just love the sun; that’s all.”

Moon Ga Bi’s modeling career began when she was scouted during a trip to Hong Kong. She explained, “The biggest reason I started modeling was the opportunity to travel the world.”

Although she was active in the entertainment industry for a time, Moon Ga Bi’s work slowed down after signing with Walk House Company in October 2019. Her exclusive contract ended in 2021, and she has not been active in the industry for the past four years.

On November 22, Moon Ga Bi surprised fans by revealing the news of her childbirth in a heartfelt Instagram post. She wrote, “When the news came to me so suddenly, I wasn’t prepared at all. Instead of fully embracing the joy or celebration of pregnancy, I spent most of the time quietly, with the blessing of my family. That choice was made solely for the sake of my unborn child.”
