Yang Yoseob captivates fans with heartfelt character poster for ‘Werther’

Yang Yoseob, a member of Highlight and a musical actor, has heightened expectations for the musical ‘Werther’ with the release of his character poster.
On November 27th, the production team of the original Korean musical ‘Werther’ unveiled character posters for Werther and Lotte. The posters capture the poignant and tender emotions of the characters.
Yang Yoseob, portraying Werther, conveys a pure and heartfelt love through his warm gaze as he looks at his beloved. The poster features the line “I still long for you” and exudes a watercolor-like atmosphere, reminiscent of a blooming flower field.
‘Werther’ is based on Goethe’s novel The Sorrows of Young Werther and tells the story of the sublime love between Werther and Lotte. Since its premiere in 2000, the musical has consistently received much love. With its classical chamber orchestra, delicate storytelling, intricate direction, and high-quality stage production, it is considered one of Korea’s best original musicals.
The 25th-anniversary performance boasts a star-studded cast. Yang Yoseob, Um Ki Joon, and Kim Min Seok take on the role of Werther, who falls into a fateful first love. Lotte, the recipient of Werther’s devoted love, will be played by Jeon Mi Do, Lee Ji Hye, and Ryu In Ah. Park Jae Yoon and Im Jung Mo will portray Albert, Lotte’s fiancé, while Ryu Soo Hwa and Lee Young Mi will play Orca, the pub owner who advises Werther. Romantic gardener Kainz will be portrayed by Kim I Dam and Lee Bong Jun.
The 25th-anniversary performance of ‘Werther’ will run from January 17th to March 16th next year at the D-Cube Link Art Center in Seoul.
