OH MY GIRL’s Hyojung unveils youthful concept photos for solo comeback

On May 12 KST, Hyojung revealed the first concept photos for her upcoming digital single 'Purple Note' through OH MY GIRL’s official social media accounts.
In the newly released images, Hyojung appears in a neat school uniform paired with a ponytail hairstyle, creating the feeling of a refreshing coming-of-age romance. Smiling softly under warm sunlight streaming through the classroom window, she evoked the atmosphere of a scene from a youth film.
'Purple Note' was inspired by the name of the school band Hyojung actually participated in during her high school years as a vocalist. Through the new single, she plans to reflect the pure passion and emotions she experienced during the early days of pursuing music.
Following the release of the concept photos, fans have expressed growing excitement for the autobiographical story and musical world Hyojung is expected to present.
The upcoming release marks Hyojung’s first solo music project in approximately one year and five months since her December 2024 special single “Christmas Night Train.”
Known for her warm and delicate vocal tone, Hyojung is expected to showcase an even broader musical spectrum through this comeback as a solo artist.
Meanwhile, Hyojung’s digital single 'Purple Note' will be officially released on music platforms on May 21 at 6 PM KST.
