Kwon Eunbin opens up about struggles before retirement announcement

Former CLC member and actress Kwon Eunbin has announced her retirement from the entertainment industry.

On June 16 KST, Kwon shared a personal statement through social media, revealing that she had decided to pursue a life outside of the spotlight after extensive consideration.

“After a long period of reflection, I have decided to live as an ordinary person,” she wrote.

Looking back on her years in the industry, Kwon admitted that she had struggled with feelings of emptiness and uncertainty about both the present and the future. She explained that she wanted to leave behind experiences and relationships that no longer brought meaning to her life and instead focus her time and energy on building a happier future.

According to her statement, Kwon plans to complete previously scheduled overseas CLC group activities before officially bringing her entertainment career to an end.

The announcement follows the recent expiration of her contract with her former agency. Fans also noticed that she had removed her profile from major portal sites in recent weeks, fueling speculation about her future plans.

Kwon first gained public attention through Mnet’s 'Produce 101' in 2016 before debuting as a member of CLC. In addition to her music career, she expanded into acting with appearances in projects such as 'Duty After School' and 'No Gain No Love.'

Her retirement announcement has prompted an outpouring of support from fans, many of whom thanked her for the memories she created throughout her years as both an idol and actress while wishing her happiness in the next chapter of her life.
