CORTIS Achieves 500 Million Spotify Streams with Debut Album
by K-Soul · allkpopCORTIS has surpassed 500 million cumulative streams on Spotify with their debut album.
According to their agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, CORTIS's first mini-album, 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES,' recorded approximately 501 million streams as of April 29 of last month. This milestone was reached about seven months after its release in September last year. Notably, it is the first single album by a boy group that debuted within the last five years to achieve this feat.
After reaching 100 million streams within just one month of its release, the album has maintained steady momentum, subsequently surpassing the 200, 300, and 400 million marks.
The global listener distribution is also striking. The United States accounted for the highest share of listeners, with balanced consumption across various countries, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Vietnam, Taiwan, India, and Japan.
The strong response in the U.S. market is attributed to their local activities; CORTIS became the first K-pop act to headline the "NBA Crossover Concert Series" and performed during the halftime show of the "NBA All-Star Celebrity Game." Additionally, their track "Mention Me," featured in the Sony Pictures Animation film GOAT, helped expand their reach to the general public.
CORTIS is set to release their second mini-album, 'GREENGREEN,' on May 4.
