BLACKPINK teams up with National Museum of Korea for ‘DEADLINE’ project

According to YG Entertainment on February 12 KST, BLACKPINK will present the ‘National Museum of Korea X BLACKPINK’ project in collaboration with the National Museum of Korea from February 26 to March 8. The special partnership brings together BLACKPINK, who have written a major chapter in K-pop history, Korea’s representative national museum, and global audio and streaming platform Spotify as an official partner.
During the project period, a lighting event will illuminate the exterior of the National Museum of Korea in pink, symbolizing BLACKPINK and the collaboration. The members will also participate as audio docents for eight representative artifacts, guiding visitors through Korean cultural heritage.
At the Gwanggaeto Stele located along the museum’s “Path of History” in the main lobby, a full album listening session for ‘DEADLINE’ will be held. Some sessions will be reserved exclusively for Spotify Premium users. The pre-release listening event, beginning a day before the album’s release, will be open to those who apply through Naver reservations starting at 8 PM on February 19. After the official album release at 2 PM on February 27, anyone can participate during museum operating hours.
BLACKPINK is the first K-pop artist to carry out an official large-scale collaboration with the National Museum of Korea. As a fresh attempt to bridge music and cultural heritage, the project is expected to captivate not only the global fandom but also the cultural sector and the general public.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s mini 3rd album ‘DEADLINE’ will be released on February 27 at 2 PM. The album will include five tracks, including the title song "GO" and pre-release track "JUMP," along with "Me and my," "Champion," and "Fxxxboy."
