by K-Soul · allkpopKim Seon Ho, along with Kim Yoon Seok and Ahn Eun Jin, has confirmed their casting in tvN’s upcoming drama 'God Bless the Assemblyman' and will begin filming next week.
According to a report by Maeil Business Star Today on April 3, 'God Bless the Assemblyman' (directed by Park Shin Woo, written by Kwon Jong Kwan) is set to begin filming next week. The production has finalized its cast, including Kim Seon Ho, Kim Yoon Seok, Ryu Kyung Soo, and Ahn Eun Jin, and recently held its first script reading.
Based on a popular web novel of the same name, the drama follows Gu Young Jin (played by Kim Yoon Seok), a powerful six-term National Assembly member who dies by suicide in 2008 and becomes a ghost. He then wakes up in 1998—10 years earlier—and teams up with Cha Jae Rim (played by Kim Seon Ho), a ninth-grade civil servant, to take over the National Assembly.
Kim Seon Ho plays Cha Jae Rim, a low-ranking civil servant with the ability to see ghosts. After taking in the ghost of Gu Young Jin, he rises like a political dark horse and faces off against the still-living version of the lawmaker. Kim Yoon Seok plays Gu Young Jin, a once-powerful politician who, after his downfall and death, returns to the past as a ghost and rewrites history alongside Cha Jae Rim. Ahn Eun Jin will make a special appearance as Gu Seung Hee, Gu Young Jin’s daughter.
Director Park Shin Woo, known for 'Don't Dare to Dream,' 'It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,' 'Encounter,' and 'Our Unwritten Seoul,' will helm the project, while writer Kwon Jong Kwan of 'The Price of Confession' is in charge of the script.
