Chai Jin Xin and Samuel to star in new growth documentary 'Idol Till I Die'
by spjw99 · allkpopGrid Entertainment is launching a new growth documentary called 'Idol Till I Die', following trainees Chai Jin Xin and Samuel as they work toward debuting as K-pop idols.
The first teaser drops June 29 at 7 PM KST. The documentary is a co-production with Black Paper, the production company behind content on Disney+ and TVING.
Individual teaser videos for both trainees have already gone live. Chai Jin Xin, who appeared on Mnet's 'Boys Planet' and 'Boys2 Planet', is a Hong Kong University business student who stands at 188cm. In his video, he said, "I believe our team can definitely achieve good results."
Samuel, originally from Germany, previously worked as a model in Korea before joining Grid Entertainment as a trainee. His teaser showed a focused approach to practice and performance.
'Idol Till I Die' will feature trainees from multiple countries competing and working together to form a debut group. The series premieres July 6 at 7 PM KST on YouTube channel 'Idol Till I Die' and Mnet Plus, with new episodes every Monday at 7 PM KST. Grid Entertainment previously launched groups like POW and members Lee Sang Won and Lee Rio from Alphadriveone.
