TWICE's Jihyo set to release a global collaboration 'Distant Lover' with Jamaican singer Shenseea

Musicow US announced on July 1 that Jihyo and Shenseea will release their new single, "Distant Lover," on July 10.
"Distant Lover" is an Afrobeats track that showcases the genre's signature vibrant and rhythmic sound. The song combines Jihyo's bright, energetic vocals with Shenseea's signature groove, delivering the essence of a refreshing summer vibe.
Shenseea is a Jamaican dancehall artist who debuted in 2016 with "Jiggle Jiggle." In 2021, she was recognized as a featured artist on 'Donda' by Kanye West, which earned a nomination for Album of the Year at the 64th Grammy Awards. In 2024, her second full-length album, Never Gets Late Here, received a nomination for Best Reggae Album at the Grammy Awards.
"Distant Lover" also marks Shenseea's first collaboration with a K-pop artist.
Jihyo has continued to expand her global collaborations this year. On June 12, she released "Follow Me" alongside French Montana, Ludmilla, AdrianaC, and RedOne.
"Follow Me" was released as part of a project supporting the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America. The music video featured football stars Ronaldo, Brahim Díaz, and Federico Valverde.
