by Minsoo-Kim · allkpopNana, formerly of After School, is set to deepen the emotional narrative of the drama 'Climax' by participating in its OST.
The OST track “Black Star,” sung by Nana for Climax, will be released on March 31st at 6 PM KST on major music platforms.
Recently, Climax has depicted subtle shifts in the relationship between Jungwon (played by Nana) and Sangah (played by Ha Ji Won), as Jungwon’s hidden past and her feelings toward Sangah come to light.
“Black Star” is a ballad that captures Jungwon’s inner thoughts, emotions, and the layers of her life experiences. Built on a delicate piano melody, the song combines Nana’s emotive vocals with lyrics that convey deep feeling, enhancing the drama’s immersion.
In particular, Nana, who plays Jungwon, directly participated in singing the track, adding greater depth to the character’s narrative.
The OST was produced by music director Hong Dae Sung, with lyrics by Lee Ji Won, carefully weaving the drama’s storyline and emotional tone to elevate its overall quality.
Nana has been showcasing a strong presence through projects such as 'Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint' and 'Mask Girl'. She also demonstrated her musical capabilities by participating in the full production process of her first solo album 'Seventh Heaven 16', released in September last year.
