Gong Myung reveals NCT's Doyoung bought him a car for his birthday

Actor Gong Myung shared a story about receiving an extravagant birthday gift from his younger brother, NCT's Doyoung.

On the morning of June 6, the YouTube web variety show 'Pinggyego' on the channel DdeunDdeun featured the stars of Netflix's upcoming film 'Husbands in Action'—Jin Sun Kyu, Gong Myung, Lee Da Hee, and Yoon Kyung Ho—who showcased their entertaining chemistry and quick wit.

During the show, Gong Myung surprised the cast by revealing that he had received an extraordinary birthday gift from his younger brother Doyoung, who is currently completing his military service.

While chatting, he brought up his brother, saying, "My younger brother is in the military right now. My birthday was in May, and he gave me a huge gift. He bought me a car."

His revelation immediately caused a stir in the studio.

Shocked by the incredibly generous gift, host Yoo Jae Suk and actor Yoon Kyung Ho widened their eyes and repeatedly asked, "Your younger brother bought it for you while he's in the military?"

Gong Myung replied with a laugh, "When my brother bought me the car, he told me, 'You should definitely tell people about this somewhere.'"

The comment sent everyone into fits of laughter.

Gong Myung then stood up on the spot and bowed 90 degrees toward the camera, delivering a playful video message.

He joked, "To the chairman of our family, thank you so much. I'll cherish it and drive it for a very long time."

His humorous expression of gratitude had the entire set laughing.

After hearing the story, Yoo Jae Suk praised Doyoung, saying, "Your brother is really amazing. More than anything, he's serving in the military himself. Even if you have money, it's not easy to do something like that. Most people wouldn't."

He went on to praise Doyoung's thoughtful personality for taking such good care of his older brother despite being enlisted.

Meanwhile, Lee Da Hee couldn't contain her curiosity and quietly whispered to Gong Myung, "What kind of car is it?" causing another round of laughter.

Yoo Jae Suk then asked, "Doyoung is obviously a global star, but Gong Myung, you make good money too. When he said he'd buy you a car, did you really just accept it?"

With a bright smile, Gong Myung immediately replied, "Yes."

He then added, "My brother is very generous. Sometimes he feels more like an older brother to me."

Showing his affection and trust in Doyoung, Gong Myung continued jokingly, "These days, when I wake up in the morning, since my brother is stationed in Gangwon Province, I greet in the direction of Gangwon and say, 'Big brother! Have a great day today...'"

His playful remarks once again highlighted his gratitude and affection for his younger brother.
