Dok2 ♥ Lee Hi have been dating for 5 years, photos reveal them together in the U.S.

Rapper Dok2 and singer Lee Hi have reportedly been in a romantic relationship for about five years.

Their connection dates back to 2016, when they collaborated on the track "Like" through MBC’s 'Infinite Challenge.' Since then, they have continued working together on music projects. Notably, they both performed on Dok2’s 28th birthday album 'Re Born' (2017), on the track "On & On." Sources suggest that their romantic relationship began in late 2022.

Their romance has long been an open secret in the Korean hip-hop scene. Fellow rapper Sleepy even commented, “Let’s get married” on the news of their relationship. Multiple industry insiders have described them as a “longtime couple” with a “deep bond and serious relationship.”

Earlier this year, Lee Hi renamed her company to 808 HI RECORDINGS, with “808” holding special significance to Dok2. He has incorporated the number into every label and brand he founded, and the name also includes Lee Hi’s real name, Hi. To celebrate Dok2’s birthday, the couple released a duet titled "You & Me," an R&B hip-hop track reflecting their story, which dropped at 6 PM KST.

Currently, the two are reportedly staying together in the United States. A representative for Dok2 told Dispatch over the phone, “Dok2 is in the U.S., and due to the time difference, we are still confirming the details.”

Meanwhile, Dok2 has faced financial and legal issues. In 2022, he appeared on a list of high-value, habitual tax delinquents. Last year, he paid a total of 672 million KRW (approx. 520,000 USD) in unpaid income tax, local taxes, and health insurance. Separately, Dok2 lost a lawsuit with the Los Angeles jewelry company A over unpaid jewelry payments. The court ruled that he must pay 45 million KRW (approx. 35,000 USD) in mandatory compensation.
