Park Na Rae announces suspension of all activities amid controversy

Comedian Park Na Rae has announced a suspension of all activities.

On December 16 KST, a video titled “I don’t want anyone to be hurt or unnecessary controversy to arise” was uploaded to the YouTube channel Baek Eun Young’s Golden Time, featuring Park Na Rae’s official statement addressing the recent controversy.

In the video, Park stated, “I take seriously the concern and fatigue I have caused many people due to the issues that have recently been raised. Because of this matter, I have voluntarily stepped down from all programs.” She added, “I made this decision in the hope that it would no longer cause confusion or burden to production staff and colleagues.”

She continued, “Regarding the matters currently being raised, there are aspects that require calm verification of the facts, and legal procedures are already underway. During this process, I will not be making any additional statements or explanations.”

Park emphasized, “This is not an issue of personal emotions or relationships, but one that should be objectively confirmed through formal procedures. My decision is not meant to criticize anyone or assign blame, but to exclude emotion and personal judgment and allow the process to resolve the matter.”

She went on to say, “Although countless stories are circulating right now, I do not want anyone else to be hurt or for this to turn into unnecessary controversy. For that reason, I intend to pause all activities for the time being and focus on properly addressing this issue. I will take time to reflect on my responsibilities and attitude.”

Park concluded, “Matters that require time will be calmly entrusted to the proper procedures. I am grateful to everyone who has supported and cared for me, and in order to avoid further controversy, I will refrain from making any additional comments related to this issue after this video.”
