Actor Jang Dong Joo, who recently announced his retirement from acting and deleted his social media accounts, has been seen returning to activity on another platform through a live broadcast.

On June 6, Jang appeared in a live stream on the global short-form platform TikTok where he interacted with fans in real time.

His sudden reappearance comes shortly after he uploaded a controversial video containing disturbing content, after which his account was reportedly removed by the platform. Despite this, he has since resumed activity through a new account on a different platform. During the live broadcast, concerns previously raised by fans regarding his physical condition, particularly his little finger, appeared to be eased as it seemed to be in normal condition.

Earlier, Jang Dong Joo had announced his retirement stating that he intended to step away from his career as an actor. However, his agency Management W clarified that the decision was made unilaterally without prior consultation or agreement with the company despite public announcements through media and social channels.

Jang made his acting debut in 2012 with the stage production 'A Midsummer Night’s Dream.' He has since appeared in several television dramas including 'School 2017,' 'My Strange Hero,' 'Class of Lies,' 'Let Me Be Your Knight,' and 'Trigger,' as well as films such as 'Honest Candidate,' 'Count,' and 'Handsome Guys.' His most recent project was the film 'No Tail to Tell.'
