BOYNEXTDOOR turn 'VIRAL' into a cheering song for the LG Twins

BOYNEXTDOOR are taking their hit to the ballpark.

The group has reworked 'VIRAL,' the title track from their first full album 'HOME,' into a cheering song for the LG Twins baseball team. BOYNEXTDOOR wrote new lyrics and choreography for the stadium version, flipping the song's original message about spreading their music into one about spreading the LG Twins' cheering spirit. The cheering song was released on June 23 at 2 PM KST through LG's official YouTube and Instagram channels.

The collaboration grew out of a personal connection. BOYNEXTDOOR's leader Myung Jaehyun and LG Twins catcher Lee Juheon are classmates from their middle and high school days in Seongnam, and Jaehyun had sent his congratulations after LG won the Korean Series last year.

"As an LG Twins fan, I watch every game," Jaehyun said. "I'm thrilled that our song 'VIRAL' will be heard as the team's cheering song."

'HOME,' released on June 8, became BOYNEXTDOOR's fourth consecutive million-seller, selling over 1.08 million copies in its first week.
